Suicide Squad Kamikaze, Japan's last stand before defeat

  The Kamikaze, also known as Tokubetsu Kōgekitai, was a special suicide attack unit formed by the Imperial Japanese Navy during the final stages of World War II. The Kamikaze were trained to pilot their aircraft into enemy ships and other targets, with the goal of causing maximum damage and destruction. This tactic was viewed as a last resort for the Japanese military, as they were facing increasingly difficult odds on multiple fronts and were desperately looking for ways to turn the tide of the war in their favor. The origins of the Kamikaze can be traced back to the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944, which was the largest naval battle in history. The Japanese suffered a crushing defeat in this battle, losing four aircraft carriers and numerous other ships.
