The murder of Jeon Ju-hwan stalking in Sindang Station, Korea, in 2022

 On September 14, 2022, at around 21:00, Jeon Ju-hwan (31, male) killed a 28-year-old female station employee with a weapon in the women's restroom of Sindang Station on Seoul Subway Line 2.  The victim was a colleague of the Seoul Transportation Corporation, and about a minute after pressing the emergency bell in the bathroom to ask for help, the station staff and social service personnel arrived and overpowered Jeon Joo-hwan. Nine minutes after the report, paramedics arrived and escorted the victim, but the victim died during surgery. Prior to this case, Jeon Ju-hwan was accused of illegally filming and stalking the victim and was on trial without detention after being released from his position. He reportedly killed the victim a day before he was sentenced to the first trial.
