Fire-pubbed bolt-action sniper rifle for special police developed and produced for counter-terrorism purposes DSR-1

The DSR-1 is a bullpub sniper rifle designed and manufactured by DSR Precision GmbH, Germany. Since its first introduction in 2000, it has gained a reputation as a very accurate and reliable sniper rifle.

The DSR-1 is a special police fire-pubbed bolt-action sniper rifle developed/produced for counter-terrorism purposes by AMP Technology Services, a German defense company. It's also an evolutionary version of Hermasa's SR-100.

It has a hit rate of 0.2 MOA, and when fired in a very stable condition, it has a hit rate of up to 0.17 MOA.

Currently, it is known to be adopted by GSG9 in Germany, PASKAU in Malaysia, and many other countries in the European Union.

Variations include subsonic ammunition integrated with gun heat and increased aperture. There is a .50 caliber.

Design and Features:

The DSR-1 is designed as a small, light sniper rifle. The bullpub structure places the magazine and action behind the trigger group, making the overall length shorter without sacrificing the barrel length. Therefore, the DSR-1 is ideal for urban and close combat.

The rifle uses a straight pull bolt action, which makes it quick to follow-up shots and easy to operate. The bolt is located on the right side of the receiver, making it easy for a right-handed shooter to operate. The rifle also has a removable trigger to adjust the pull weight and pull length.

The DSR-1 uses a fluttered cold hammer forged barrel to reduce weight and dissipate heat. The barrel is a free float and is attached to the receiver via a barrel nut to facilitate the replacement of the barrel. This rifle is a .308 Winchester rifle, but.It can also be equipped with other caliber rifles, such as 260 Remington or .338 Lapua Magnum.

The rifle features a modular aluminum chassis with adjustable pull length, cheek height and total heat height. The top of the chassis also features a Picatinny rail for optics and accessories. The DSR-1 comes with a folding bi-pod and a monopod in the buttstock for stability during filming.

Accuracy:

The DSR-1 is known for its high accuracy, with many shooters recording groups below MOA (angle per minute) at 100 yards. The accuracy of this rifle is partly due to match grade barrels and straight pull bolt actions that enable fast and consistent cycling.

The DSR-1 also has its own recoil relief system, which helps reduce felt recoil and bullet lift. The rifle is equipped with a hydraulic buffer system that absorbs recoil and is designed to allow the total heat to move back slightly at launch, helping to reduce felt recoil.

Accessories:

The DSR-1 can be equipped with a variety of accessories to enhance functionality. The Picatini rail at the top of the chassis can be fitted with a wide range of optics, from a normal scope to a red dot sight to a night vision. The rifle is also equipped with a gun brake which can be removed and replaced with a suppressor to reduce gun explosion and noise.

The DSR-1 can also be equipped with a removable magazine that can hold 5 .308 Winchester ammunition. The magazine release is located in front of the magazine well and is intended for ambidextrous use, making it easy for both right and left-handed people to replace the magazine.

Conclusion:

The DSR-1 is a highly accurate and reliable sniper rifle for a wide range of applications, from long-range precision shooting to close combat. Bulpub configuration, straight full bolt action, and adjustable chassis make it a versatile platform that can be tailored to your shooter's needs. For anyone - law enforcement, military snipers, civilian gunners - the DSR-1 is a rifle worth considering.
