The murder of a single room for a breakup notice in Cheonan, South Korea, in 2022

 On January 12, 2022, at 9 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was killed in a studio apartment in Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do after receiving a farewell notice from Cho Hyun-jin. This woman was previously dating Cho Hyun-jin but was notified of her breakup. On January 12, Cho Hyun-jin bought a weapon at a convenience store and entered a studio in Seongjeong-dong, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, where the woman lives. There, Cho Hyun-jin locked the bathroom door and quarreled with the victim, stabbed her with a weapon at 9:40 p.m. and left there. The victim was with her mother in a studio apartment. Cho Hyun-jin took the victim to the bathroom and committed a vicious crime of stabbing him, saying, "I have one last thing to say." Later, the victim was taken to a hospital, but eventually died.
